Universities – training blocks/guest lectures with prospective teachers and educational psychologists

Dynamic, interactive workshops on social and emotional well-being, exploring the impact on behaviour of aspects of the interrelationships between self-esteem, motivation, ASD, ADHD, attachment, social cohesion, and diversity.

This is done in the light of major theoretical approaches with related practical applications for discipline procedures and relationship building in educational settings. This includes specific methods and techniques for reducing the frequency and intensity of behaviour that does not meet expectations and dealing with incidents in the moment. Theory and approaches include social constructionism, self determination theory, circle of courage and restorative approaches.

Various forms of training include blocks or ongoing work with trainee teachers/educational psychologists, in-house CPD training for educational psychology teams, and sessions at conferences.
